Decorating Tips

There are many different ways that you can decorate your finished Baby Bum cast. Depending on your taste you can choose how you would like the final look to be, including just leaving it plain.

You can trim the rough edges of the completed cast with a pair of scissors. Then choose how you would like to further decorate it.

Ideas for decorating:

paint it- it is a small canvas for you to choose whatever design you would like on it. Keep in mind the more intricate the painting the less noticeable it is that it is a baby bottom.
glue dried flowers on it
glue fabric trim or ribbon on it.
mount it on a frame, or in a shadow box.
write a poem or special words onto it or inside it.
display it in a miniature easel

Don't worry if you decide you do not like the design you've chosen for the finished cast. If you don't like what you have done you can either plaster a layer over it and start again, or paint gesso to cover over the top. Then start again. It will only make the cast stronger if you do.
